Live Healthy

Live healthy to take care of your body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

As a Catholic who doesn’t want to be guilty of the deadly sin gluttony, you need to consciously live healthy. Living healthy also shows your love for the Holy Spirit whose temple is your body.

Living healthy is a way of life. It is not just for a certain period of time, because you want to be healed of a sickness. It should not be temporary, just because you are aiming for a specific weight and once you reached it, you stop. It should be everyday of your life for the rest of your life.

Eat healthy, exercise daily and get enough sleep to be physically fit.

But living healthy goes beyond being physically fit. It is being mentally, emotionally, socially and even financially healthy as well.

Live healthy by ensuring your thoughts are always positive. Be mindful of what you think. Catch yourself when your thoughts start to turn negative by immediately thinking of beautiful uplifting thoughts.

Be emotionally mature. Take charge of your emotions, not suppressing them but expressing them in a positive way. Sometimes, you can’t help how you feel but you can always control how you act and react.

Always treat others with respect. Practice the Golden Rule. Do to others what you want them do to you.

Know your financial boundaries. Live within your means. Set a budget and don’t overspend.

To make living healthy your way of life, start by forming healthy habits one at a time.

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. For some, it takes fewer days. Aim to form a habit every 21 days or so. By the end of one year, you will have formed several healthy habits. And you will be a lot healthier and happier.
