You’ve found the path to a happier Catholic life! Welcome!

On this journey called life, the path you take determines the kind of life you have.

It’s tempting to take the easy life path. But beware. It could lead you to a more troubled life.

There is a path that seems narrow and difficult and few are willing to take it. But it leads to a happier life. It is the life path of Love, where Love is the reason for living, where God is the center of everything.

On this path, you take time to nourish your soul, live healthy and serve your purpose by denying yourself and taking up your cross daily (Luke 9:23).

Denying your self is simply obeying God, loving Him with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. You deny yourself the pleasure of having your usually selfish dreams fulfilled to give way to whatever God planned for you, which is the best for you. It is also loving your neighbor as yourself. Better yet, loving them more than yourself.

Taking up your cross daily is not just patiently enduring the many adversities in life but to be united with Jesus Christ in suffering, united with Him in offering the greatest proof of love for God.

Take this path and you will be much happier in life.

Maria VictoriaHello! I’m Marivic N. Barrios, (a.k.a Maria Victoria, my Catholic baptismal name) an accountant and a teacher by education/profession and a writer and photographer by heart and by action. Sometimes, the poet in me will write in rhymes. At times, the mentor within yearns to be seen. From time to time, I travel and sketch and paint and sing and dance. And though you may not often see me smile, inside I’m really happy all the time.

I’m a cradle Catholic who prays the rosary daily and attends mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation. I’ve always thought that I know enough about my faith but in late 2012 when I was guided to review my faith, I realized that I really knew so little.

While searching for natural remedies for a minor ailment, I came across the law of attraction and I have to admit got really attracted to it. Then a friend pointed out to me that the law of attraction is really contrary to my Catholic faith. So I had to find out.

My search led me to so many beautiful things about my faith and other things.

And this site came about to share with you those beautiful things.

This site is also my way of serving my purpose, to help spread the Word of God. I also hope to enlighten others about the Church that Jesus founded.

May your visit here spark a hope in your heart and keep you out of the dark. And may that hope lead you safe home and not leave you alone.
